From Wednesday 16th June 2021, we will be providing a weekly Covid vaccination clinic as part of the National Booking Service (NBS)
These NBS clinics will be every Wednesday at the Steam Museum, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, and will be open to any patients within the appropriate cohort who needs to be vaccinated. NBS clinics will be run by Brunel on a Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.
Once we are on the NBS, the practice will no longer invite or book patients – and we will not be able to manually book patients in to an NBS clinic. Patients must use the NHS website, or phone 119 to book an appointment.
As new cohorts are invited patients will be sent a letter and/or a text from NBS inviting them to book both first and second doses
Patients MUST book appointments for their first and second vaccination at the same time to confirm their appointments.
Any queries, please call 119 as the surgery is unable to help with booking appointments.
Following the recent relaxation of Government Covid restrictions, the surgery is experiencing an unprecedented surge in the demand from patients for urgent on the day appointments.
The surgery is still operating a telephone appointment system which enables us to prioritise patients who need to be seen more urgently and enables us to continue working safely. The GP’s will arrange face to face appointments with those patients they deem clinically appropriate.
The reception team have been instructed to ask you questions regarding your symptoms to determine the urgency of your appointment. If you are offered an appointment it may be with a GP as a routine telephone call (current waiting times are 10 – 14 days) or if deemed more urgent, it may be with our Triage Nurse or one of our colleagues at Moredon Medical Centre on the day.
Please help us to help you by being considerate and respectful to our practice staff who are doing their best to help manage your concerns. Any abuse of the practice services or disrespect shown to our staff will result in a warning letter being issued by the practice.
Thank you for working with us
