Following the recent relaxation of Government Covid restrictions, the surgery is experiencing an unprecedented surge in the demand from patients for urgent on the day appointments.
The surgery is still operating a telephone appointment system which enables us to prioritise patients who need to be seen more urgently and enables us to continue working safely. The GP’s will arrange face to face appointments with those patients they deem clinically appropriate.
The reception team have been instructed to ask you questions regarding your symptoms to determine the urgency of your appointment. If you are offered an appointment it may be with a GP as a routine telephone call (current waiting times are 10 – 14 days) or if deemed more urgent, it may be with our Triage Nurse or one of our colleagues at Moredon Medical Centre on the day.
Please help us to help you by being considerate and respectful to our practice staff who are doing their best to help manage your concerns. Any abuse of the practice services or disrespect shown to our staff will result in a warning letter being issued by the practice.
